International Understanding: China, Germany and California

This year we are double dipping with hosting high school exchange students. Both have really enriched our family and the office too. Since the high school is close by Clever Ducks, both are frequent visitors after school. At Clever Ducks you can see language lessons on the whiteboard in the living room. Count to ten in Chinese anyone? Or German?

Meeting the Governator

Arnold came to San Luis Obispo to talk to business leaders about the state budget. I was very delighted to be invited as a member of the Chamber of Commerce Board. He gave a very compelling presentation and was a better speaker in this small group of fifty than I would have expected. He is not as tall as you may think, but he has a very good handshake. Congratulations to our Chamber staff for having him come to our town.
