Tech Brew to Get a Facelift in 2011

The word is out – there will be some fantastic changes happening in 2011 for Tech Brew, and we’re letting you in on the secret!

New Leadership: Softec

Softec is taking leadership of Tech Brew in 2011! Why, you ask? Based on the SLO Chamber’s Technology Advocacy Committee Survey, it’s clear that our local tech industry wants more tech-related networking events! With Softec’s loyal membership and committed board members, they have the power in numbers to ensure Tech Brew events serve your needs.

New Location: The Creeky Tiki

Beginning at the first Tech Brew event of the New Year, Monday, January 10, our Tech Brew events will be held at the Creeky Tiki at 782 Higuera Street, Downtown SLO on the 2nd Monday of every month from 5pm – 7pm. With great food, lots of brew, fun music, 5 flat screens, and indoor/outdoor social areas, this location is ideal for Tech Brews.

New Topics: Tech Highlight

To expand Tech Brew beyond a social event, Softec will be adding “Tech Highlights” to every event, highlighting a tech topic that’s of interest to attendees. They will be emailing you to ask your opinion when creating the Tech Highlight schedule, so be sure to speak up!

Same Great Vision

While some of the details are changing, Tech Brew’s vision will stay the same – to bring together local professionals to network, exchange ideas, and enjoy beer and appetizers in a casual, social atmosphere.

What’s Next?

Softec will email you all Tech Brew updates, which will be sent along with their other organization announcements. Of course you will have the opportunity to opt out of their emails, just as you’ve had the option with our emails.
